Breaking news: International Print o Pac to authorise a second packaging plant in Noida
By Rahul Kumar Monday, 12 December 2011
International Print o Pac (IPP), has announced its intention to establish a second custom-built packaging facility of 2,50,000 sq/ft area at its sprawling Noida complex spread over eight acres of land.
The new plant will be constructed alongside the existing plant and will house production lines for the manufacture of high-quality multi-colour printed corrugated cartons.
Post-commissioning of the new plant, IPP’s consolidated packaging floor space would exceed 5,00,000 square feet.
Confirming this development, Rishabh Singhvi, executive director of IPP stated that: "IPP's growth has historically been client-driven.
The proposed investment is also client-led. There are substantial growth opportunities in the corrugated packaging segment. The order for the equipment at the new plant which has been placed will be a part of an investment of Rs 50-crore towards this project over the next few months."
The proposed investment includes multi-colour flexo printers, slotters, die-cutters, corrugation lines and folder-gluers. "In addition, IPP will add some new products to its already comprehensive portfolio," added Singhvi.
The project includes start-of-the-art warehousing and crane-enabled material handling facilities. Spread over lower ground and ground floors, the new layout would allow the movement of goods vehicles into the lower basement of the proposed plant. The construction of the building is expected to be completed by March 2012. The new plant would be linked to the existing facility to enable seamless movement of materials.
IPP recently imported technology for Holographic Image Transfer (Cast & Cure) and has ordered a new folder, a film laminator and two corrugators to be installed at its current site by January 2012.
Recently, the SmartWood program of the Rainforest Alliance certified IPP to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody certification standards.
