Rekord breakers Manroland has made the final call in its search to find the oldest working Manroland press in the UK. The firm is asking owners of Roland Rekord, Favorit, Parva, Ultra, 800 and 600 presses to get in touch before 30 April. Entrants will get the chance to win a weekend for two in Barcelona. Eagle-eyed visitors to last month's easyFairs would have spotted two members of the Packaging News team running around the show with a video camera in tow. Yes, it's true: PN has moved into TV. Action!Fowl balls Asda is considering covering the packaging for and even renaming its Fat Balls bird seed line to stop shoppers giggling in the aisles. Company spokeswoman Sian Horner told The Sun newspaper: "Colleagues have seen many shoppers emerging from the pet aisle with a smile on their face".
Doing it for the kids Creative agency Blue Marlin has taken time out from a busy schedule designing packs for brands such as Tango to create the website for Dancing for the Children, a charity led by Royal Ballet principal Mara Galeazzi that works with disadvantaged children, on a pro-bono basis. Global creative director Martin Grimer said: "The identity is a clear visual explanation of the charity's work."
