Peter Rego of Heidelberg India gets new responsibility
By Noel D'cunha Wednesday, 30 November 2011
Peter Rego, who managed sales for western region as the regional sales manager has been elevated as the general manager, sales. He has moved from Mumbai to Chennai and now manages all equipment sales including pre-press, press and post-press.
Rego joined Heidelberg in 1996 and according to the company has proved himself to lead the entire sales function of Heidelberg India.
Peter has honed his skills of business management at Singapore Institute of Management and has undergone various training programmes in TQM. He has also undergone five advanced print related courses in Heidelberg Germany as a part of continuous improvement programme.
"Having been a part of changes that have occurred from the conservative 90-s to the vibrant 2011, he has exercised his amenable nature and strong association with the printers across India and has grown into a techno-commercial personality," quoted a company release.
Rego summarises his beliefs in three phrases: do it right first time all the time; make things happen rather than waiting for them to happen; and life is too short, so let’s make the most of it. He is of the opinion that with 16% growth per annum, western India remains the hub for packaging and the northern region gradually is becoming a major player in this segment. "I am proud to be a part of the challenging print industry," concluded Rego.
