Epson teams with EFI to offer proofing bundles

The Epson Design Editions bundle Epson's WT7900, SP-4900 and SP-3880 with EFI's Express RIP and a set of Epson media profiles. The WT7900 or SP-4900 are available with Epson's optional SpectroProofer built-in spectrophotometer.

Epson said it did not plan to bundle the SP-3880, which is not available with SpectroProofer, with a third-party measuring device but added that this could be a solution offered by its distributor Computers Unlimited (CU).

Pricing for the Epson Design Editions is as follows: WT7900 with EFI Express 4.1, £5,229 (£6,957 with SpectroProofer); SP-4900 with EFI Express 4.5, £1,995 (£2,795 with SpectroProofer); SP-3880 with EFI Express 4.5, £1,336.

Martin Johns, market development manager, Pro Graphics, at Epson UK, said that the bundles offered "significant cost savings" and were "significantly more affordable than purchasing each aspect individually".

He added: "We know how important it is for busy agencies, designers or departments to save time and money when it comes to proofing - this is why we put together the Design Editions, aiming to save time not only on researching and selecting each element within the package, but also to help them speed their proofing productivity."

The Epson Design Editions are available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
