Impact Mail & Print installs SM-74 as part of £600k kit spend
By Melanie Defries Friday, 16 December 2011
Printer and envelope manufacturer Impact Mail & Print has installed a Heidelberg SM-74 as part of a £600,000 investment programme aimed at boosting capacity.
Earlier this year the Telford-based company installed two new W&D envelope overprinting systems and two Pitney Bowes FX-10 mailing fulfilment machines.
The £3.5m-turnover company, which has 35 staff, has boosted capacity by 20% according to general manager Michael Ralph.
Ralph said: "We can fulfil any aspect of a mailing campaign, from a box of printed or bespoke envelopes through to complete management and production of multi-million door-drop campaigns and adding another press means we have sufficient capacity to meet short turnaround times.
"An increasing amount of our customers who work as commercial printers were also looking to benefit from our in-house print facilities to save logistical costs so adding another SM74 to our in-house presses made sense to support our personalisation and mailing facilities."
The company said it had grown by 30% over the past year.
